Joshua Tilden

Joshua is a stonemason at Rookwood General Cemetery with over 15 years of experience. He teaches Certificate III in Stonemasonry (Monumental/Installation) at Miller TAFE.

Standout projects that Josh has worked on include the Queen Victoria Building, Eye Hospital Sydney, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and numerous buildings and churches with Jasper Swann and Public Works.

About the work

"I enjoy cutting circular work as there is a bit more thinking and marking out than run straight moulds. The carving on the top, I tried to incorporate different coarseness in textures from rough on the echidna, wood like textures on the logs to smooth and lumpy on the rock behind."
